WELCOME
Hi, I'm Sarah Langdon — teacher, creative, coffee enthusiast, and the founder of EdVolution.
For 10 years, I've taught, written, and explored education in some of the most inspiring (and sometimes unexpected!) places — from traditional classrooms, to prisons, to the digital spaces where young people live and learn today. Along the way, I've worn more hats than I can count: Teacher, mentor, journalist, storyteller, and (most importantly) mum to three brilliant sons.
EdVolution grew from that mixture of experiences, challenges, and passions. It's about shaking up the way we teach: bringing it to life through media, creativity, and real-world connections. Because grammar doesn't just live in textbooks — it lives in TikTok captions, football commentary, breaking news, and song lyrics. Literature isn't just about analysing metaphors — it's about finding the threads that tie Dickens, Austen, or Shakespeare to the lives we're living right now.
Education comes alive when it connects to the real world.
I've always believed learning should feel alive, relevant, and (dare I say it?) enjoyable. Whether I'm helping GCSE students tackle tricky exam questions, introducing learners to the newsroom buzz of a journalism class, or showing how a novel written two centuries ago still sparks conversations today — my mission is the same: to make education meaningful.
What you'll find here is part blog, part classroom, part creative hub. A place for students, teachers, parents, and curious minds to dip into ideas, resources, and reflections that connect language and literature with the real world.
I'm so glad you're here. Grab a coffee, take a look around, and if you're ready to rethink what education can be, then…
